Basketball Recap: Lawrence County Comes Up Short

Lawrence County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat. They were beaten by the Florence Falcons 61-30. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-25 back in November of 2024.

Lawrence County's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Florence, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lawrence County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Decatur at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Florence, they and Russellville will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.
