Football Recap: Giddings Comes Up Short

Giddings extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-5. They had to suffer through a 56-7 loss at the hands of the Sealy Tigers. The Buffaloes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

Corbin Medack threw for 48 yards and one touchdown. Gunnar Fromme was his top target, picking up 57 receiving yards and one TD.

As for Sealy, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 21 points or more this season.

Kane Killough produced another solid performance rushing for 40 yards and three scores, while also throwing for 227 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes. What's more, he posted two passing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Sealy's leading receiver Elijah Sanders was Killough's top target yet again, picking up 126 receiving yards and one TD.

Giddings didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-14 defeat against Bellville on the 24th. As for Sealy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 42-10 victory against Madisonville on the 24th.
