Football Recap: Bentworth Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Bentworth easily dispatched Brownsville last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Bearcats fell just short of the Burgettstown Blue Devils by a score of 23-20 on Friday. The Bearcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Blue Devils from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Bentworth lost, don't look at Ben Hays. Despite the final result, he rushed for 241 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per carry. Hays was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 68 yards.

Bentworth's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Bentworth has already played their next contest, a 45-0 win against Charleroi on the 5th. Burgettstown has also already played their next game (against Jefferson-Morgan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
