Volleyball Recap: St. Joseph Central Comes Up Short

The Flyers were the 2-0 winner over the Irish when they last played one another back in September of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The St. Joseph Central Flyers came up short against the St. Joseph Central Irish on Monday, falling 3-0.

While the Flyers were kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into the Irish's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-11, 25-12.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead the Irish to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brooklyn Anderson, who had ten digs and five aces. That's the most aces Anderson has posted since back in October of 2024.

The Flyers' defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for the Irish, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.

The Flyers have already played their next game (against the Tartans), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for the Irish, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against the Vikings on the 9th.
