Baseball Game Preview: Golden Valley Bulldogs vs. Tehachapi Warriors

Golden Valley hasn't had much luck against Tehachapi recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Golden Valley has given up an average of 9.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Golden Valley is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Thursday. They lost 13-0 to Arvin.

Meanwhile, Tehachapi came tearing into Thursday's game with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Vikings a 16-0 shutout. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by seven runs or more this season.

Tehachapi's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Golden Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15-1.

Golden Valley suffered a grim 18-2 defeat to Tehachapi in their previous meeting back in May of 2022. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
