            Football Recap: Surry Central Golden Eagles vs. North Surry Greyhounds        
        
		
        
        
            
Surry Central had lost four straight at home, but  on Friday they dropped down to 0-8 to make it five. They were dealt  a  42-15 defeat at the hands of the North Surry Greyhounds. If the Golden Eagles were looking for revenge after losing  42-7 to the Greyhounds when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for North Surry, their  win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 23  points or more this season.
  Zamarri Sweatman had another great game (as  he tends to do), rushing for 294 yards and three  touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per carry. He has become a key player for North Surry: the team is 4-1 when he posts  at  least  80  rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of  David Schuyler, who rushed for 75 yards and one  score.
 Looking ahead, Surry Central will head out to  challenge Mount Airy  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Granite Bears will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  victory, something the Golden Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Surry, they will be playing at home against West Stokes  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
