Basketball Game Preview: Weatherford Kangaroos vs. Mansfield Legacy Broncos

The Weatherford Kangaroos will venture away from home to face off against the Mansfield Legacy Broncos at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Weatherford knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Mansfield Legacy likes a good challenge.

Weatherford is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Centennial just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 61-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans.

Meanwhile, Mansfield Legacy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 65-45 to Keller. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 390th, while the Indians are ranked 176th).

Weatherford's loss dropped their record down to 20-3. As for Mansfield Legacy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Weatherford was taken down by Mansfield Legacy 77-23 in their previous meeting back in November of 2018. Thankfully for Weatherford, Trevian Tennyson (who went 6 of 10 on his way to 20 points in addition to six boards and three steals) won't be suiting up this time.
