League recap: Carnevale throws longest pass in league this season for Greece Athena

Frankie Carnevale and Austen Correia provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Greece Olympia. The longest such play in Section 5 Monroe Division II this season, the connection resulted in 87 yards.

Brockport extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Churchville-Chili, 33-10. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.

Greece Athena's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Carnevale threw for 87 and two touchdowns and Ryan Prevost had 88 yards receiving. On the ground Trevond Jones chipped in 125 yards.

John Iacucci provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Saints fell to Brockport. He completed 14 passes for 125 yards and also ran for 15 yards. Iacucci's favorite target this week was Correia, who caught four passes for 52 yards.

Thanks to the talents of Iacucci and Josh Powell Churchville-Chili has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Iacucci leads the league in passing with 841 yards, while Powell has rushed for 706 yards this season. The Trojans' Prevost leads the league in receiving yards with 350 on 23 catches.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Blue Devils take on Greece Arcadia. At the moment, Brockport is in first, while the Titans are in fourth.

Spencerport took down Greece Arcadia 38-13 last week, the largest margin of any game.
