Softball Recap: Rosamond Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Rosamond hadn't beaten Boron on the road since May 24, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Roadrunners came out on top against the Bobcats by a score of 18-14. Winning may never get old, but the Roadrunners sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Rosamond got a massive performance out of Johanna Marquez, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most stolen bases Marquez has posted over her last 11 matches. Priscilla Ponce was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-5.

Marquez wasn't the only one making solid contact: Rosamond kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Rosamond's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Boron, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rosamond will challenge Kern Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Boron, they will take on Immanuel Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Crusaders have averaged an impressive 13.1 runs per game this season.
