There's no place like home for Belle Chasse, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the L.W. Higgins Hurricanes 8-0 on Monday. Considering the Cardinals' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit L.W. Higgins with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Veronica Martinez-Bada (3), Kayli Bates (2), Riley Villarreal (2), and Londy Machado.

With the victory, Belle Chasse broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-9-1. As for L.W. Higgins, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8-1.

Belle Chasse has already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy on the 14th. As for L.W. Higgins, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-1 loss against Academy of Our Lady on the 15th.
