Slocum came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 48.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by the Oakwood Panthers to the tune of 64-29. With the Mustangs ahead 35-7 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Slocum has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points per game. As for Oakwood, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Slocum will welcome Trinidad at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Slocum knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Trinidad likes a good challenge. Oakwood has already played their next matchup (against Mount Calm), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
