Volleyball Recap: Lilly Walsh Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Shoreland Lutheran

Pius XI Catholic's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Shoreland Lutheran Pacers. The Popes have beaten the Pacers the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Pacers has come to flipping the script.

The victory didn't come easy: Shoreland Lutheran scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20.

Pius XI Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lilly Walsh, who had nine assists and seven digs. Another player making a difference was Nomi Cayabyab, who had 11 assists and four digs.

The win got Pius XI Catholic back to even at 16-16. As for Shoreland Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-24.
