Baseball Game Preview: Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings vs. Stagg Chargers

The Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings will venture away from home to square off against the Stagg Chargers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Homewood-Flossmoor will be strutting in after a victory while Stagg will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Homewood-Flossmoor turned things around against Sandburg on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Eagles. The Vikings not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1st (when they won 10-0).

Meanwhile, Stagg lost 20-6 to Sandburg on Friday.

Homewood-Flossmoor's win bumped their record up to 11-18. As for Stagg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's still a better percentage than their 6-24 record this season.

Homewood-Flossmoor came out on top in a nail-biter against Stagg when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
