Soccer Game Preview: Clinton vs. Mid-Carolina

Clinton is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will look to defend their home pitch against the Mid-Carolina Rebels at 7:00 p.m.

Clinton managed to keep up with Newberry until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Clinton came up short against Newberry, falling 3-0. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, the Red Devils' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Mid-Carolina had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They never let the Knights get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. Give the Rebels' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Clinton now has a losing record of 2-3-1. As for Mid-Carolina, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
