Volleyball Recap: Kailub Munoz's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bethel over Puyallup

Bethel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Puyallup Vikings. If the Bison were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Vikings when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 22-25, 25-13, 25-18.

Bethel's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kailub Munoz, who had 19 digs and two aces. Munoz is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Bethel's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Puyallup, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Bethel and Spanaway Lake will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Puyallup, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Federal Way on the 23rd.
