Football Recap: West Limestone Falls to Clements in First Game of Season

West Limestone kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clements Colts. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Colts apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Clements got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Hayden Tucker out in front who rushed for 106 yards and one touchdown. Those 106 rushing yards gave Tucker a new career-high. Jake Fleming was in the mix too, providing Clements with two scores.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Limestone will venture away from home to challenge East Lawrence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Wildcats their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Clements, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Ardmore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
