They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Randleman Tigers 3-1. That's more bragging rights for Southwestern Randolph, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Macie Crutchfield made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Crutchfield has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive pitching appearances.
