Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Gets the Win

Jefferson's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Word of God Academy Force.

Despite the defeat, Word of God Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kallie Pizarro had 15 digs. Pizarro is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season.

The win got Jefferson back to even at 1-1. As for Word of God Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Jefferson will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Marshall at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Word of God Academy, they will be taking part in a tournament against Union Hill at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. The Force are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
