Basketball Game Preview: Colquitt County Packers vs. Valdosta Wildcats

Colquitt County is 1-9 against Valdosta since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Colquitt County Packers will host the Valdosta Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Colquitt County is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

Colquitt County will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Bainbridge, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Colquitt County walked away with a 49-41 victory over Bainbridge on Saturday. Given the Packers' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Bearcats are ranked 245th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Valdosta posted their closest win since February 3, 2024 on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Lowndes, sneaking past 51-49. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Colquitt County's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Valdosta, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
