Volleyball Recap: Murrieta Valley Takes a Loss

Murrieta Valley saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hillcrest Trojans.

Seth Medeiros paced Murrieta Valley's offense, picking up six kills. Medeiros got some help from Jedi Malaambo and his 14 assists. Malaambo was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Murrieta Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. The win (which was Hillcrest's third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Murrieta Valley has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Redlands East Valley on the 8th. As for Hillcrest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Eastside on the 8th.
