Baseball Recap: Chittenango Comes Up Short

Chittenango was the 5-4 winner over Solvay when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bears fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 2-1 on Thursday.

Chittenango saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Pappas, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Chittenango's defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-5. As for Solvay, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chittenango will venture away from home to face off against Marcellus at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Solvay, they will take on Sandy Creek at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
