Basketball Recap: St. George's Comes Up Short + How To Watch

St. George had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Saturday they dropped down to 2-4 to make it eight. They took a blow against the Reardan Screaming Eagles, falling 68-36. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Screaming Eagles are ranked 20th).

Stephen Liu was St. George's leading scorer, having posted 11 points. Adrian Rooney held things down on the boards with seven rebounds. Zach You took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with four assists.

As for Reardan, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 25 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Reardan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Levi Collier, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten rebounds. Collier is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Fred Frolov, who shot 41% from the field to rack up 15 points and eight boards.
