Basketball Recap: Randleman's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

Randleman and Forest Hills squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Randleman had to settle for second. They took a 70-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Forest Hills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Landon Blakeney, who went 9-for-13 to rack up 23 points and five boards. What's more, Blakeney also posted a 75% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Amari Melton, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine assists.

Randleman's loss dropped their record down to 23-2. As for Forest Hills, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-14.

Randleman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Forest Hills, they will square off against Bandys at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bandys knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Forest Hills likes a good challenge.
