The McIntosh Chiefs and the Starr's Mill Panthers will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. The timing isn't great for McIntosh: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home, while Starr's Mill has snatched up 15 consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, McIntosh turned things around against Marion County on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 64-52. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Chiefs' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Starr's Mill took on Mundy's Mill on Tuesday. Starr's Mill took their match with ease, bagging a 49-20 victory over Mundy's Mill. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 20 points or more this season.

Starr's Mill has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for McIntosh, their win bumped their record up to 6-13.

McIntosh was taken down by Starr's Mill 61-20 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Starr's Mill's Lindsey Kopacek, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards.
