Basketball Recap: Sequatchie County Comes Up Short

Sequatchie County lost against Meigs County back in February of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Sequatchie County Indians lost 58-32 to the Meigs County Tigers. The match marked the Indians' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Loss or not, Sequatchie County got some senior leadership from Kirklyn Stockwell and Curtlyn Lee. Stockwell almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards, while Lee dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Sequatchie County and nudges their season record down to 5-4. As for Meigs County, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Sequatchie County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-34 win against West on the 23rd. As for Meigs County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-48 victory against Ooltewah on the 23rd.
