After three games on the road, Making Waves Academy is heading back home. They will welcome the Contra Costa Christian Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Making Waves Academy will be strutting in after a win while Contra Costa Christian will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, Making Waves Academy made easy work of Leadership Public Schools Richmond and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Despite the loss, Contra Costa Christian had strong showings from Hailey Terwilliger, who had 24 digs, three kills, and two aces, and Scarlett Ringue, who had 12 digs. Terwilliger is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in the last four games she's played dating back to last season.

Even though they lost, Contra Costa Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in 11 consecutive matchups.
