Soccer Recap: Zimmerman Comes Up Short

Zimmerman lost against Duluth East back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Thunder lost 16-0 to the Greyhounds. While losing is never fun, Zimmerman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota soccer rankings (they are ranked 120th, while Duluth East are ranked 12th).

Zimmerman's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Duluth East, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 8-2-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Zimmerman will face off against Becker at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Duluth East, they will square off against Cambridge-Isanti at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
