Football Recap: Shadow Hills Comes Up Short

Shadow Hills and Baldwin Park squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Shadow Hills had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Braves, falling 48-10. Having soared to a lofty 37 points in the game before, the Knights couldn't push the score so high this time.

Jesse Rodriguez threw for 122 yards and one touchdown. Brandon Peffers was his top target, picking up 45 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Damian Walls rushed for 26 yards.

Jacory Coleman had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 210 yards and three scores while picking up 10.0 yards per carry, and also picking up 94 receiving yards and one touchdown for Baldwin Park. That's the most rushing touchdowns Coleman has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Valentino May, who threw for 221 yards and three TDs on only 12 passes.

Shadow Hills dropped their record down to 6-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Baldwin Park, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-5.

Shadow Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Baldwin Park, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 27-14 victory against Western Christian on the 21st.
