Baseball Recap: Gloucester County Christian Takes a Loss

Gloucester County Christian and Atlantic Christian squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Gloucester County Christian had to settle for second. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Conquerors haven't been shut out since back in April.

Gloucester County Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Dellarova, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Dellarova is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played.

Gloucester County Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-6. As for Atlantic Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.

Coincidentally, Gloucester County Christian and Atlantic Christian will both be playing King's Christian the next time they take the field. The Cougars will head out to face the Knights at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Conquerors will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
