Softball Recap: Framingham Flyers vs. Wellesley Raiders
Framingham had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Wellesley Raiders. For the Flyers, this counts as revenge for the 9-1 win the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Kayla Goodridge made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Those 14 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Goodridge wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Lally, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Lally has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Avery Palmer also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
The victory got Framingham back to even at 6-6. As for Wellesley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3.
Looking ahead, Framingham will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Natick at 4:00 p.m. As for Wellesley, they will head out to face off against Beverly at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
