McCluer North is 8-2 against McCluer since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Stars are taking a road trip to challenge the Comets at 4:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

They fell just short of the Oilers by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as McCluer North came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 183rd in Missouri, while East Alton-Wood River are ranked 397th in Illinois).

Meanwhile, McCluer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Hazelwood East.

McCluer North's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for McCluer, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1.

McCluer North took their win against McCluer when the teams last played last Monday by a conclusive 5-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Stars since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
