Basketball Recap: Holcomb's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Holcomb hadn't done well against Hugoton recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Holcomb Longhorns came out on top against the Hugoton Eagles by a score of 64-57. Winning may never get old, but the Longhorns sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Holcomb's victory bumped their record up to 14-4-1. As for Hugoton, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

Holcomb and Hugoton should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. Holcomb (ranked 26th) will meet Ulysses (ranked 152nd) on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hugoton will challenge Cimarron at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 115 places (98 vs. 213).
