Elmwood-Murdock won the last time they faced Conestoga and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Knights came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cougars, sneaking past 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Elmwood-Murdock got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-20, 18-25, 25-14.

Annie Backemeyer paced Elmwood-Murdock's offense, picking up 16 kills. Backemeyer got some help from Lucy Backemeyer and her 27 assists. Finally, Annie was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Elmwood-Murdock's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Conestoga, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Elmwood-Murdock will be playing in front of their home fans against Concordia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Conestoga, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Louisville on the 16th.
