Softball Recap: High Point Academy Falls to Chester in First Game of Season

High Point Academy had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Chester Cyclones, falling 14-4. The Grizzlies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cyclones apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Emma Thompson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. Aaliyah Little was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Coming up, High Point Academy will square off against Ninety Six at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Chester, they will head out on the road to challenge Rock Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
