Softball Recap: Midway/Minto Has No Trouble Against Northern Lights

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Midway/Minto). They blew past Northern Lights 21-8 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with Northern Lights: they've now won four in a row.

Sadie Armbrust was a standout: she got on base in five of her six plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Adyson Dauksavage was another key player, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Midway/Minto's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Northern Lights, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

The future could be bright for both Midway/Minto and Northern Lights: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Mustangs will look to extend Grafton's five-game losing streak when they meet at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Northern Lights will try to hand Rugby their third-straight loss when the two meet at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
