Preview: Calumet Copper Kings vs. Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes
Calumet and Lake Linden-Hubbell are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Calumet Copper Kings will head out on the road to face off against the Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Linden-Hubbell took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Calumet, who comes in off a win.
After only 18 points in their last contest, Calumet made sure to put some points up on the board against Dollar Bay on Monday. Calumet came out on top against Dollar Bay by a score of 59-48. Given Calumet's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while Dollar Bay is ranked 368th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Lake Linden-Hubbell unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a serious blow against Houghton, falling 70-31.
Calumet's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Lake Linden-Hubbell, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 3-1.
Calumet came up short against Lake Linden-Hubbell in their previous meeting back in February, falling 55-45. Can Calumet avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
