Volleyball Recap: Syracuse's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Syracuse came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Lone Peak Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Titans of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Syracuse took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 28-26.

Chase Barrett paced Syracuse's offense, picking up 12 kills. Barrett got some help from Talon Morris and his 28 assists. Finally, Kayl Beutler kept Syracuse's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Syracuse's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-2. As for Lone Peak, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.

Coincidentally, Syracuse and Lone Peak will both be playing Mountain View the next time they take the court. Lone Peak will head out to face Mountain View at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Syracuse will head out to face them at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
