Basketball Game Preview: Central Catholic Raiders vs. Patterson Tigers

Central Catholic is 4-0 against Patterson since February of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Central Catholic Raiders will head out to take on the Patterson Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Central Catholic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.4 points per game this season.

Patterson will be up against a hot Central Catholic squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Central Catholic came out on top against Manteca by a score of 52-41 on Wednesday.

Jordan Magana was his usual excellent self, going 9 of 21 en route to 26 points. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. Brendan Carter was another key player, putting up ten points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Patterson). They took their match on Monday with ease, bagging a 79-45 victory over Orestimba. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

The victory (which was Patterson's third in a row) raised their record to 9-13. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Central Catholic, they pushed their record up to 12-10 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Central Catholic took their victory against Patterson in their previous meeting on January 4th by a conclusive 62-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Central Catholic since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
