Grace Christian put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Real Life Christian Academy Raptors by a score of 73-66. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while the Raptors are ranked 589th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Grace Christian had a senior duo take command as Mark Dudley posted 19 points and Will Hawes went 5 of 8 on his way to 15 points and three steals. Hawes is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Herren, who had seven points.

Several Raptors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chris LaSalle, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten boards. Those 24 points gave LaSalle a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Donovan Sepulveda, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 24 points in addition to five assists and five boards.

Grace Christian's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. As for Real Life Christian Academy, they moved to 6-5 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Grace Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 81-34 win against Providence Christian on the 10th. As for Real Life Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-44 victory against Orlando Science on the 10th.
