Recap: Louisburg Wildcats vs. Bonner Springs Braves
The Louisburg Wildcats can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 53-45 victory over Bonner Springs. For Louisburg, this counts as revenge for the 72-45 defeat Bonner Springs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Bonner Springs lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jason Jones, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Corey Rolfe jr., who scored 12 points.
Louisburg's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Bonner Springs, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Louisburg will take on Ottawa at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bonner Springs' road trip will continue as they head out to face Leavenworth at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. Leavenworth will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 278th, while Bonner Springs is ranked 98th).
