Soccer Recap: Austin Achieve Takes a Loss

Austin Achieve was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 6-1 to the Northeast Early College Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in January.

Austin Achieve's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Northeast Early College, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Austin Achieve will square off against Gateway College Preparatory at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gateway College Preparatory is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.5 goals per game this season. As for Northeast Early College, they will challenge LBJ Austin at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Northeast Early College will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more goals each contest than the last.
