Lakeside hadn't done well against Skyline recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Lions were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Spartans. The victory was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won five games in a row.

The win didn't come easy: Skyline scored at least 21 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 28-26, 25-23.

Lakeside's record is now 5-2. As for Skyline, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-3.
