Soccer Recap: Lee Comes Up Short

Lee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Gate City Blue Devils, falling 5-0. If Lee were looking for revenge after losing 6-0 to Gate City when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lee's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Gate City, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Lee will be playing in front of their home fans against Honaker at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lee's defense better be ready for this one: Honaker have averaged an impressive 3.6 goals per game this season. As for Gate City, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 10-0 win against Ridgeview on the 11th.
