Recap: Brookstone Cougars vs. Westfield School Hornets
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Anne-Pacelli, the Brookstone Cougars were happy to have found some success on Friday. They blew past Westfield School 76-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brookstone to victory, but perhaps none more so than Thomas Henderson, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. Chris Vickerson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six steals.
Brookstone is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Westfield School, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brookstone will take on St. Mary's Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Mary's Academy is coming into the game with five straight wins on the road, meaning Brookstone will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. As for Westfield School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Westfield School surely won't give up without a fight.
