Volleyball Recap: Bangor Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Bangor faced off against Royall on Tuesday. The Cardinals took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-12, 20-25, 25-14, 25-23.

Jaycee Michek paced Bangor's offense, picking up seven kills. Michek got some help from September Harris and her 11 assists. Kadence Kassera controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Among those leading the charge was Ella Schroeder, who had six digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last 13 matches.

This is the second loss in a row for Bangor and nudges their season record down to 6-11. As for Royall, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Bangor wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Wonewoc-Center on the 18th. As for Royall, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Brookwood on the 18th.
