Baseball Game Preview: McAdory Yellowjackets vs. Moody Blue Devils

The McAdory Yellowjackets will square off against the Moody Blue Devils at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. McAdory will be strutting in after a victory while Moody will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, McAdory got the win against Westminster School at Oak Mountain by a conclusive 9-1.

The team relied heavily on Sawyer Pearsall, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of McAdory's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 6-12 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Caleb Reed, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Moody unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of St. Clair County by a score of 6-5.

McAdory's win bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Moody, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 16-5.

McAdory skirted past Moody 5-4 when the teams last played back in March. Will the Yellowjackets repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
