Soccer Game Preview: Widefield vs. Fountain-Fort Carson

The Widefield Gladiators will head out to square off against the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Widefield is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Vista Ridge on Thursday. The Gladiators took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wolves. Widefield haven't had much luck with Vista Ridge recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Fountain-Fort Carson was forced to settle for a draw. They and Palmer finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Tuesday.

Widefield's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. Fountain-Fort Carson's draw makes their record 2-2-1 this season.

Widefield suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Fountain-Fort Carson in their previous matchup back in March of 2019. Can the Gladiators avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
