Wisconsin high school football: Playoff brackets released

Opening round action is Friday, Oct. 24. State championships will be held Nov. 20-21 at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison. The championship game for the 8-player bracket is Saturday, Nov. 15 at South Wood County Stadium in Wisconsin Rapids.

Top seeds: Catholic Memorial (Waukesha), Edgewood (Madison), Grafton, New Berlin West (New Berlin)

Defending champion: Notre Dame, now in Division 2

Top seeds: Aquinas (La Crosse), Columbus, St. Catherine's (Racine), Winneconne
