Basketball Recap: San Manuel Comes Up Short

San Manuel lost against Duncan back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The San Manuel Miners had to suffer through a 46-10 loss at the hands of the Duncan Wildkats. While losing is never fun, the Miners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while the Wildkats are ranked 123rd).

San Manuel has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Duncan, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Manuel has already played their next match (against Cicero Prep Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Duncan will venture away from home to take on San Simon at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. San Simon is on a three-game streak of home wins, Duncan a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
