Basketball Recap: Oak Harbor Takes a Loss

Oak Harbor lost against Edmonds-Woodway back in January of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Oak Harbor Wildcats had to suffer through a 88-48 loss at the hands of the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Leading Edmonds-Woodway to victory were Cam Hiatt and William Alseth. Hiatt went 11 for 16 on his way to 26 points in addition to six boards and six steals, while Alseth went 9 of 12 on his way to 22 points along with six boards and four steals. The match was Hiatt's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Williams, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 14 points.

Oak Harbor's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Edmonds-Woodway, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-0.

Oak Harbor didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 82-75 defeat against Mariner on the 30th. Edmonds-Woodway has also already played their next contest, a 75-27 win against Kentlake on the 30th.
